We only see our meter reader once a year if we are luckyIf you are worried about payment for electricity you can do direct debits and I'm sure someone posted that you can also have a UK style standing order that is the same amount each month. Thanks[/quote]Never ever seen them in France. Even in the most dingy 'rising damp-type' digs I lived in when a student in the 70's! Electricity was an integral part of the rent. Maybe asking EDF if they can sort you out with some card machine system, where you buy at the corner shop a card worth £10 of electricity, insert that in the meter at home and have electricity until the £10 is gone...It is a prefered way by landlords in UK now, instead of coming round every week to empty the meter...
