laying a floor in a Cave

Hi

THis is more of a DIY question than a France question, but the floor in question is in France.

We have a Cave with one wall set into the mountain and the normal 'compacted earth' floor. In fact one part of the floor has been built up in thick concrete and that supports the washing machine dishwasher etc.

By the time I take an old oil tank out of the way I will probably be left with approx 12 sq meters of the earth floor.

I was thinking of something easy to do to make it nicer (not heavy traffic). Has anybody tried those epoxy floor coatings on this sort of floor ?

Any other ideas ? Its a small area to be faffed trying to concrete it.

(Incidentally the walls are bare concrete / breeze block and I have no intentions of decorating them. Is there any substance I might put  on them to reduce dust ? Especially the wall going into the mountain which gets some efflorescence.)

Thanks in advance.
