Frogslegs
Does anyone know the correct minimum and maximum fall for the pipe running from the fosse septique to the sand filter?thanks
Dave&Olive
hi yes I do .... no set fall ,because think about it, no solids should be comming out of the fosse to the filter. So as long as there is a fall it will be O.K. dave
VJ
Dave I always thought it was 1 in 200 on a soak a way so there is minimum chance of puddling and more even dispersion?
Alcazar
Miner has no fall at all, in fact it has a riseIt also has a small electric pump that is triggered every so often, and pumps the fluid up to the drainage field.Cost a little extra, but was the only way to do it, or so I was informed.Alcazar
VJ
No Probs with that system Alcazar I have installed many like that especially where rain water was a problem entering the soakaway and back into the tank due to high water tableSo a 2nd liquid chamber was fitted, then the liquid pumped to another drainage point. If you have any solids going down this pipe you have got a serious problem that sand filter will block up pronto., and with the new regs next year when the " fosse police " start to inspect ........ you will have 2 weeks to change the sand ......... dave
