Ian W
Hi All,I don't seem to be able to find a way to inform the frenchgovernment that I have moved house in the UK. My tax bills/ TVlicense etc are still going to my old address despite having included anote with my last couple of bills. I have tried looking on theweb for an on-line method of doing this, but can only find a site formoves within France www.changement-adresse.gouv.fr (if that's any use to anyone looking at this thread for that reason). Help! Thanks!
Clair
As you're in the UK, there is no easy way of doing it as you've found out.On each tax bill, there should be a contact address + tel # and a tax reference.Call (if fyour French is up o it) or write, quoting your tax ref number. Copy the relevant bill and clearly write "changement d'adresse" and your new address on the copy before posting it to the relevant office.Including a note with a payment does not work as payment offices do not have access to base records, they simply record payment... Sunday Driver
It's not the French government you need to tell - it's your local tax office....[;-)]As Clair says, the Tresorerie only process the bills and collect the money, so you should write to your Centre des Impots (address on the bill) advising them of the change of address.
