chocccie
ie, my barn roof is real high! Need to do a little repair work, plus install installation, then plasterboard, so will be up there quick a bit!My scaffolding isn't high enough for the job, but rather than buy more and then have to move it around, does anyone have any recommendations of machines which can be hired for the job. Saw a great machine being used a a local construction site - like an extendable scissor arm type thingy. Does anybody have any bright ideas?Cheers folks

hardhat
just had a look at my local hire shop prices,he does both scissor lifts and cherry pickers but only as prices in the book for a cherry picker 135 a day, 236 weekend,no price for the week, ive used both and you can get an awfull lot done in a day with either, bit of advice if you hire the machine get someone to give you a lift while you do the work .you will do 5 times the amount you would on yor own and end up saving hire charges.if anyone wants to know about needing a licencse i would say not. ive got a licencse but never been asked for it for hiring one
