Solar Powered Heating

Hello

Im very new to this but would be grateful

for any assistance.  We have a house in central France where we are hoping to install solar powered under floor heating.  Does anyone know of a company that could install this or could give advice

Some time ago I was talking to my local plumber (yes, its

true, I managed to get him round to look at something – not do work, just look

at it).  We got to talking about “renewable

energy”, etc. me saying how I wanted to install such things in the longer term

and he said he was ADEME approved.  I

said “what and how much”, to which he said he would first need to do a free

technical study to make proposals. 

Despite what I then thought, he actually then came back a couple of

months later with two “experts” and even brought a friend to help with

translation of technical stuff.  Then

spent the afternoon looking, being thorough, etc.

Bottom line is that you may find more people that you expect

can deal with such things.  I have the

impression that if you go to a reputable artisan then, because they MUST offer

the 10 yr guarantee, then they will be thorough about what the propose.  If you want to check with ADEME, best to

contact your regional office.  My experience

of my regional office is that they are exceptionally helpful.  I have limited French language skills and

have still managed fine.  Check on http://www.ademe.fr/newademe/

for your local office.  I’m sure they

can tell you who is approved and maybe who has installed similar systems.
