Graham & Brenda
I have received a devis where 2 examples of the prices are €75 per socket and €90 per light. This includes labour and cabling etc. so it's difficult for me to understand whether the cost is roughly correct. I say roughly because the electrician is a neighbour, so although I'd like him to do the work I just need reassurance that it's not over the top. Thanks,
Nick Trollope
I would suggest that you get another devis. Each Electrician uses a different method for quoting, so the only important figure is the bottom line.
Gardian
Just been quoted E60 for double sockets, so your E75 is maybe a bit high, but not miles out.
Steph
For info my electrician charges 33 € an hour plus TVA.In 2003 the cost of a prise was 36 € each, but without digging out the bills I don't know whether this included the hourly rate as well ...Hope this helps.www.pwb53.com
Graham & Brenda
Thanks for the repiles. Fortunately my neighbour doesn't mind me doing some of the work myself to keep the cost down so a compromise has been reached!
