Is there a product you can buy to stick onto plain glass pation doors to give the appearance of small squared glass?

Yes, you can buy stick on lead, certainly in the UK.

MFI cupbords with "leaded" doors use it, good effect, available from DIY stores. Probably from larger DIY outlets in France too, they do the coloured stuff to stick on to make it look like stained glass too, and glass paint for the same purpose. Not cheap though.

You can buy wooden frames that make the windows/doors look like separate panes from places that sell doors and windows, you can fit them to both sides or just one side, I can't remember at the moment what they are called but you can look in their catalogues.

If they were real they would be called mutton bars - dunno what that would be in French, though.  Bar des Moutons doesn't sound right...
