joidevie
I'm torn between fitting all of the cloisons ( partitioning ) on thefirst floor of a new barn conversion myself, or having the work done. Some of the ceilings are quite high, and although I've been offered theuse of a board lifting machine, watching ( a very strong ) builderfriend of mine struggle, I'm thinking maybe not. Some of the stud wallswill need to be quite high too.Being in the barn only for a couple of weeks at a time, I'm not sureI'll get it all done ( Three bedrooms, two shower rooms ). In SeptemberI'll be getting a couple of quotes to do the work, but was wonderingabout a guide for the work.I would guess it's by the m/sq - for placing and then filling ? Arethey likely to charge for the windows and doorways too ? I'd beinterested in any figures anyone has - as a guide. By the way, I'm in Aude 11.Cheers.. Cassis
I've just dug out the quote we went with last year when we had our grenier converted. The rate for the stud walling was 42.44 euros per sqm ex VAT at 5.5%. The spec was as follows:Cloison 72/48 AXE 60Cloison de type placostil 72/48 2 faces BA13.Isolation en PAR 45mm, y compris traitement des joints.Doorways etc. were excluded from the calculation of the surface area.
