AJ Posted March 3, 2007 Share Posted March 3, 2007 HiWe are a few weeks for completing on our house. We have bewen to the property, which is empty, a few times. We visited last week after heavy rain and noticed that rain had leaked through on to the ceiling causing a couple of wet patches. Sunday Driver Posted March 3, 2007 Share Posted March 3, 2007 When you signed the compromis de vente, you agreed to buy the house in the condition it was on that day (as seen). Unless there has been a deterioration in the fabric of the house that can be attributed to any action by the seller, or the problem can be proven to be a viche cache (ie, a problem the seller knew about but didn't disclose to you), then I doubt if you can get them to pay for any repairs.
