Dick Smith
I'm not sure what the 'someone private' part means, but our Géomètre came through our notaire. You could find your own through Pages Jaunes. No, they are not free - they are a trained professional whose work forms part of the plan cadastrale, which is an official record, so you will pay a few hundred Euro, depending on the size of the boundary. mint
i believe the geometre also has to register the "new" plot with the french equivalent of the land registry
Dick Smith
That's the Plan Cadastrale part - it's kept at the place they keep all the records, whatever that's called. Land Registry but in French. Cadastre.
Gastines
We had 2 quotes to re-measure and register the measurements of a plot of approx 1000mtrs.Both quotes were just over 2000euros. Not via Notaire but found in phone book.Regards.
