Frank & Rosie
We are about to renovate a stone barn in Firbeix 24 and are trying to source white poplar tongue and groove. This is to be put above the rafters and will be seen from inside (i.e. vaulted ceiling). We need to cover an area of 232 square metres. Can anyone suggest suppliers and has anyone any idea of cost? Chris Head
Why white poplar?
montagrier
Again why popular in particular... having said that I used it as I have lots of it... I am in Dept 24. It is unlikely you will get it dried, or T&G as it bends so fast so you have to use it straight from the tree and it will shrink so you must have a plan to cover the shrinking. The cost depends on the thickness you require. You can email me through the web site below if I can help further..monti
Frank & Rosie
We were advised white poplar by our architect because of its insect resisting qualities.
