micky.p.
Does anyone know where i can buy 4m length worktops please??
Cassis
Not quite - but Brico Depot go up to 3.60m. Maybe Leroy Merlin or Lapeyre would have longer ones.Just checked - Lapeyre online show sizes up to 3.00m and Leroy Merlin up to 3.15m (maybe possible to order specially?). Chris Head
I don't know what your budget is Mickey but why not try your local menuisier, they'll be able to make up what you want.Good luck
Cassis
Micky - whatever you do, don't say you don't want a wooden worktop.

Cassis
I know what you mean, mate! From the other side of the room and wearing the wrong prescription glasses, ours look like granite.
steve
micky, i have been fitting kitchens for 15 years and only worked for one company that supplied 4 metre worktops.(in uk). even with 3 metre tops could you not reposition your mitres ? will give you 3.6 metre run. how crucial is it to have 4 metres
Chris Head
<<<nope, the wife wants glossy black worktops,>>>Wot, like genuine glossy French plastic worktops? Sounds enticing. Couldn't Ikea help you out?
Albert the InfoGipsy
nope, the wife wants glossy black worktops,i would love granit, but a bit out my price range.
I've known people get stuff like that from their local funeral mason. Supposed to be much cheaper than from a kitchen shop, but I can't talk from experience.Another option would be cast in situe concrete with suitable colouring. It can polish up a treat and fit any shape. I've seen it done but never tried myself so I'm tempted to try a dummy run on a little test piece to see if it's viable for the kitchen Im planning.Either way you'll need nice, strong carcases. micky.p.
hello steve. , yes i do need a 4m length , as the kitchen is 5.2.In Nottingham i could get 4 and 6m lengths , but not planning a visit.
Gastines
Just had a similar problem. Visited Resau Pro who do 4mtr worktops. The one we wanted was quoted at 130euros a METRE, and no,I'm not joking. In the end I had to go back to UK anyway so bought the same from T&P at £90 each for 4 mtrs. I think the problem lies in the fact that most French kitchens seem to have a smaller worktop area and a working kitchen table.Regards.5 mins St.Malo. www.ourinns.com
Dick Smith
We got ours at Brico Depôt and they weren't that expensive - bog standard stuff. But they don't sell edging materials (metal) that fit their own worktops...
Cassis
I don't think they go up to 4m long, though, Dick - not in my catalogue, anyway.

Dick Smith
I don't recall seeing 4m lengths - I think our longest was about 2½.
