Patf
We managed to get three plumbers to come and price up the job of installing a chaudiere and radiators to connect to our gas tank. Only one has sent a devis up to now, and he is a de Deitrich agent. He quotes 3950 euros for the price of the boiler which seems a lot. Has anyone any experience of these? It has to be a condenseur type boiler. Pat.
Gluestick
They are simply one of, if not the best in Europe perhaps the best European boiler being probably Viesmannhttp://www.viessmann.co.uk/. But, naturally, very expensive when compared to Lamborghini (amongst the cheapest) and Chappi, middle to upper price range.Condensing boilers, as yet are still quite rare in France, but gaining in availability, which is pretty strange, actually, as France does seem to be in advance of most other EU states in terms of environmental impact. Patf
Thanks Gluestick. We've now got the other estimates, for boilers Vaillant and Chapee. The latter nearly as much as the de Deitrich. Overall we are going for the middle estimate as the cheapest has left things out and got things wrong. Hoping! Pat.
