Repointing crumbling interior walls

It sounds like there are a lot of you out there who have repointed walls, or had them repointed.  I am having a meeting with a recommended local mason in a couple of weeks to get a quote for repointing some of the interior (but outside, if that makes sense) walls of our granite cottage in Brittany.  Using a local so he knows the importance of the right mix etc!  Can anybody give me a roundabout figure I should be expecting to pay per square metre for scraping out old mortar and repointing, as we were right royally ripped off for the last major work we had done - as well as having to call them back to do a decent job of it!!
