New build

I posted a message here some weeks ago about the costs of renovating a property in France and was met with lots of very good advice but also the question 'Why would you not want to build a new home instead?' Having given this question a great deal of thought my new question is....can anyone recommend a builder willing to take on a new build project in the southern Charente, using locally aquired traditional materials. My family and I are moving to the Bonnes/Chalais region of the southern Charente this month with a view to aquiring a plot of land for development.
