Val_2
Just in case you didn't know, and many british don't, you will need permission from the local mairie to site a mobile home on your land first.

Anyone for Cricket?
Hi We are in the same boat and have found two places advertising mobile homes for sale, they are ex site homes and start at around 3k euro (plus delivery 400 ish):05 53 51 64 8302 96 30 49 27We have been told that it is 'polite' to go and speak with the Mairie before the van turns up, this is not an out and out legal requirement but to avoid any possible issues always a good move. Will
There is, as far as I know, no national legal ruling on whether or not you can live in a mobile home while repairing a house. Many people do it and nobody minds in most places, but as Val says, there are some communes where itis not permitted. There is one near us in 50 where the maire apparently is very anti mobile homes, even more so those that are British owned.
Val_2
We get requests for siting mobile homes every so often here and although many are replacing those on private pieces of "vacation" grounds as well as a few new ones and we do have to say whether or not we agree to this in principal first.
