New Building Regulations

I have been told there are major changes coming into the French building regs on 1st October.

Does anyone have any info on these?  Dyou know where I can get a copy of the changes.

How.At the DDE,its changeing on the 1st of october and going to be more complicated ,even at the DDE they don't really know how it's going to be!![more paper work certainly...]I went there to transfer my permit and plans to another name,Michael.

HABITAT - 1er octobre : mise en place du nouveau permis de construire

A compter du 1er octobre, la réforme simplifiant les formalités liées au permis de construire entre en vigueur. A partir de cette date, 3 types de permis sont proposés : le permis de construire, le permis d’aménager et le permis de démolir.

La déclaration préalable remplace notamment la déclaration de travaux et la déclaration de clôture.

Only a true bureaucrat could see the replacement of one type of permit by three others as a simplification [:D]. Sir Humphrey is alive and well. advising the DDE in France...

Can I ask if there is something mor to this.

The reason I ask is because we were told (last Friday) by the DDE that if we put our plans forward before the 1st October they will be refused but after that date we stand a better chance under the new rules and like the OP we don't know what the new rules are. In my case it was because we are in a flood area if that helps.

There are a lot of changes involved and it's impossible to say why a permit would be refused under the old rules and permitted under the new rules without more details about the work required.
