Patf Posted October 8, 2007 Share Posted October 8, 2007 We (well not me but Eddie and chimney sweep) took out the woodburning stove and flue pieces and dismantled the lining above the stove, which was metal sheets and asbestos. The chimney sweep disposed of the asbestos for us. What material is best to replace the asbestos? Are the metal plates a good idea? Framboise Posted October 8, 2007 Share Posted October 8, 2007 Our chimney was lined with that pipe liner tube, like a big silver spring covered in tinfoil - no idea what its called!
