carpy
Has anyone any experience of a Godin woodburner, slightly Dalek looking? We have a modern type house so it may not look right but i like the build quality and price. Another problem is the position of the chimney, it's in the corner of the room but should'nt pose to much of a problem for the design of fireplace and hearth. Any ideas? Ian
I'm no M. Bricolage (or Chauffage) but our Godin has been brilliant - economical, good heat, useful little design touches and it looks the business... though ours is more of a cube shape than a Dalek. IMHO it was a good buy.Ian

raindog
I would've replied, as i've used a Godin for 15 odd years without a bother, but I don't have the dalek model! It's the big, tall oval one - excellant stove.(IMHO = in my honest opinion)
mint
Best of all, if this is your principal house, you'd get 50% of the cost of the woodburner back in the form of credit d'impot. You'd need to have it supplied and installed by the same properly registered company to take advantage of this fantastic concession.

Suandpete
Does anyone know if you have to claim the tax refund in the same tax year that the woodburner is installed? Is there a time limit to claiming?
