Gyn_Paul
Has anyone come across a company offering this service over on this (the civilised) side of the channel? You know the stuff I mean; it's like pumped cavity wall insulationexcept that it's sprayed onto the underside of an iffy roof whereuponit expands to fill the space between the rafters, insulates, waterproofs, and fixes the tiles into a stable mass. A great solutionif the timbers are in good condition, but the nails are rusting away.Plenty of companies in the UK, but I can't seem to find one over here -leastways not in the Limousin - unless it's called something odd whichI can't search on 'pagesblanches'.p

BJSLIV
At best it's a temporary fix, and when the roof has to be done properly the tiles cannot be reused because they have the white stuff stuck all over them!.
Pads
Have to say I agree with the rest, my friend has brought a place where this has been done to hold the roof together. It holds condesation inside the attic so every thing she has put in there has gone mouldy, After a number of builders visits to get quotes , she has been told the only thing she can do is strip the lot and have a new roof. They wont even be able to save any of the very expensive rag slates because it would cost more to clean them than to buy new. If your doing up a whole house get this sorted now rather than trying to cope with the mess later on. Its cheaper to get the roof fixed now than to have to replace the whole thing in a few years.
