sharkhunter
Hi folks, can anyone help me with some info, i have a block/beam ceiling which leaves me with a useable space in the loft area that has a concrete floor. Question is if i use the area to put in a spare bedroom and toilet what are the consequences with regard to tax de habitation etc, shall i be charged more for extra space? I feel that i shall but would like a few viewpoints befor embarking on the Mairie route, many thanks in advance, Hugh.

Iceni
If you calculate extra taxe d'hab pro rata based on the existing area you should not be too far out. However the fact that you have asked yr question indicates that the extra cost is a significant consideration so perhaps you should not embark on this venture. I suppose a bit like the apocryphal tale of the man asking "how much ?" on seeing a Rolls Royce for sale.Johnnot
