joidevie
For some reason my cold water is not running from my recently fitted bath mixer tap.. All was fine, but after grouting it barely runs. I've removed it and tried blowing through it with cold open - and seems blocked. The hot is fine.I've tried blowing, rinsing but to no avail.. Is it ready for the bin? Many thanks...PS It's not thermostatic, just a plain mixer type.
Baz
Not knowing what type of mixer tap you have, but may I state the obvious. Have you checked the washer or the ceramic valve as this would seem much more likely than grout blocking the outlet.Baz
Gyn_Paul
If you take the handle/tap top off, the body will usually unscrew with the aid of a great big spanner and you can then pull the body out of the casing. bet you there's a bit of swarf or grit in one of the channels.p
joidevie
Great, thanks. Probably some grit or something..
BIG MAC
When you remove the valve from the body of the tap you will likely see that the 'jumper' has dropped probably as it has either unscrewed or the circlip has come adrift. Both really easy fixes.
