La Guerriere
We're revising the heating arrangements in our maison secondaire (Manche), which at the moment consists of one wood-burner (about to be replaced as its knackered) and a variety of electric convector heaters, which arrangement has served fairly well for twelve years. Is there any point in storage heaters ? The difference between standard and heures creuse is not as much as standard and economy7 in the UK, and French storage heaters come in at Very Silly Prices and there would be the fag of redoing the heater circuits. Alternatively get a couple of hunky air/air split units ? Could the outdoor units sit up in the upper part of the loft (where the owls live and the wind blows) for aesthetic reasons ?
