Gabe
Sorry don't know what it is called (fibrociment ??). Anyway for those who might know, it comes in (corrugated) sheets and is screwed to the roof, to act as waterproof base, onto which you lay your pan (canal) tiles. I have to re roof a section of our roof and have an option; strip the canal tiles and buy new tuiles mechanique, matching the rest of the roof. Or use this stuff and relay some of the existing canal tiles.I don't care too much that the different sections of the roof won't match and do not have a great deal of confidence in just relaying the canal tiles (on going slippage, leaks etc), of which I have about a thousand spare, not including what is on the roof. What do others think ? I have read critical reports about the use of this sheeting, but on the other hand I know somebody who has used it who thinks it is great.Gabe
Owens88
I am about to have this done. So would also welcome any comments, particularly any 'watch out for' stuff.p.s. Does this fibro-cement add any insulation value vs the single layer of tiles that was there ?
