Is it possible to hire out all equipment for renovation from hire shops in France? We need to hire a scaffolding tower and some other stuff.Where would I get this kind of thing from.We will be 25 mins from Limoge.Any idea how much these are to hire ?Thanks

Some builders merchants hire out equipment. We hired a floor grinder - ponceuse - and a gadget for lifting plasterboard to the ceiling, from Gedimat. There was a big deposit for the ponceuse,€150 or so, then about €30 per day.  The eleveteur was about €30 per day. Husband bought a scaffolding tower, it wasn't all that expensive - can't remember exactly how much, but very useful as there were several jobs to do up there.

Castorama have a big hire range.  Dunno about scafolding though.

Kiloutou.  Nationwide and they have branches in most cities. www.kiloutou.fr.  You can check what they have available, the price and even book it in a selected store via the web.  Whenever I've hired anything from they I've just arrived and taken it away.

You could try BLS they have 3 places in Limoges and others outside depending where you are (St Yrieix, Gueret and Aubusson). www.bls-location.fr.

Have used the St Yrieix location and they have a good selection, but be warned the hire shops I have come across seem to be 50-100% more expensive than in the UK.

We hired from Loxam in Limoges, found them to be much cheaper on the things we wanted than BLS.  Also bought 2 scaffold towers from Castorama, for smaller jobs much cheaper than hiring scaffold and MUCH safer than trying to balance on ladders.  When hiring most places have delivery and collection charges for larger items and this can be quite expensive.
