jamesandjo
We've stumbled across this forum while looking for the answer to a few questions we have. We've had a house near Cahors (46) for 18 months now and are at the end of a very thorough renovation! Our thoughts have now turned to mini diggers. We've heard from a neighbour that it's necessary to have a qualification in something mini diggery to hire one! Is this the case and, if so, anyone know what the acceptable uk equivalent is? Weegie
Unless someone knows something otherwise, I have hired mini-diggers on a number of occasions, from different companies, and it has never been suggested that there is a requirement for any qualification for operating them. The only requirement was that my Permis de Conduire had Group E when towing the digger on a trailer which is not a problem if it is delivered to you by the hiring company.[:)]
Rob Roy
Yes, ditto to the above information. I helped our neighbours (UK second home owners) hire one in the summer and there was no suggestion of any special licence requirements. We had it delivered and collected by the hire company, so much easier.
