bixy
I wonder if anyone has had dealings with a company that specialises in putting in damp proof courses by injection - their name begins with M. They are a nationwide company. Impressed by their glossy brochures and sales pitch we signed up with them, but watching the work being carried out we are far less impressed. Any comments?Patrick
Gluestick
One hopes it isn't an older stone wall: because it will die very sucessfully after such treatment!

bixy
Gluestick, I'm confused. Why will an old stone wall "die" after such treatment?Patrick
Gluestick
Since it may well trap considerable moisture beneath the injected DPC with pretty nasty results, eventually.http://www.buildingconservation.com/articles/risingdamp/risingdamp.htm
