Ron Avery
Unless you are in a village and x metres from a national monument you can change the style of your windows to whatever you want, even if you are in a conservation area as long as the appearance is like for like there is no need to get any permission, if you have any doubts ask at your Mairie. woolybananasbrother
If you get the right types put in by a proper tradesman then you can get a bit of a tax rebate.

woolybananasbrother
Make sure it is done right though or you wont get the rebate. Check the forum for details. Cat will have them to claw or frogs leg.
Rose
Hi egger - just for info...we had new windows installed in February... double glazed wooden windows from Lapeyre. They kept every appointment, turned up on time every day, cleared up their mess and the windows are brilliant... makes a huge difference. Ron Avery
"but we having someone else fit them" ........... well you won't get any tax relief then. Unless the windows are supplied and fitted by a registered artisan you will not get any tax relief, the supply and fitting must be on a single TVA invoice from the artisan, but you get no rebate for the man hours element of the invoice.
