Iceni
Starting looking last week and the price variation is enormous - ranging from approx €70 down to €35 for the brico "own brand". Is the expensive one really twice as good ? Your advice please.TIAJohn
chirpy
SOME OWN BRANDS ARE GOOD- BUT I WOULD GUESS MOST ARE NOT AS GOOD AS THE LEADING COMPANIES SINCE THEY ARE GENERALLY MAKING THE OWN BRAND PAINTS FOR THE VARIOUS COMPANIES.I KNOW THIS FROM UK MARKETS. THE COST IS IMPORTANT- BUT IF YOU HAVE TO USE AN EXTRA COAT OR REPAINT SOONER WITH THE OWN BRAND THEN THE LABOUR COST IS A MORE DECIDING FACTOR.AND THEN IT IS NOT CHEAP-BE INTERESTING TO HEAR FROM TRADESMEN WHO HAVE USED BOTH PRODUCTS.[:D]
BIG MAC
A tradesman told me he takes the Brico jobs paints them properly then fits decent furniture to them. At least I think that's what he was saying.
Jaydeez
We have just used Brico lasure for timbers for a greenhouse. Went on ok but it is majorly thin and gets everywhere. Make sure you wear gloves as I had brown hands for days even with white spirit!!
