RicandJo
Had a local plumber round the other day to discuss our plumbing requirements. He told us that regulations decree that any gas pipe installation inside the house (i.e. from boiler to cooker) must be visible i.e. it cannot be tracked into the wall, hidden under flooring etc.Anybody confirm this to be so or is he just trying to avoid having to hide the pipework?? Thanks in advance.
Le Plombier
The gas regs are very restrictive in regard to concealed pipeworkIt is necessary to know the exact detail of pipe route and wall, floor construction to adviseIf he is Qualigaz registered I would suspect he is rightI meet this and other problems when doing gas installations, the gas regs here are totally different to the UKBecause of the audit process carried out by Qualigaz and the severe penalties imposed for non conformance no gas professional will do any work other than the way he is prepared to do it to insure compliance with the regsIf he is not gas qualified find another plumberLe Plombier
