Jacqui Too
I have been trying to use this potentially useful program, but I have found that it uses feet and inches[:-))]Has anyone used it and if so is it possible to change it to metric? I have tried but as yet have been unable to find where!!

Just Katie
And another thing (I am wagging my finger here) if you have a Kosher architect, there is always someone to fall back on should the plans be effed up!!
Clair
Wagging finger notwithstanding, as my déclaration préalable does not require the services of an architect, I found the program very handy to produce the plans required, without faffing with pens, rulers and squared paper [:)]

Clair
Also in Windows/Preferences, you can select 2D or 3D as your starting page.I found it easier to start "drawing" in 2D, but that could be because I can't draw to save my life!
Jacqui Too
Thank you both Clair and Gosub, you just need to know where to look! what would I do without this forum[:)] Now I can spend even more time on the computer! [:-))]

Pierre ZFP
I started playing about with Google Sketchup over the weekend and I think its brilliant!I'm starting by modelling my house then I can see the result if I add some 'What if' extensions.I probably won't ever get around to building anything but its great to play around with just to see what it would look like - Hmmmm now maybe a veranda .....
