Steph1
We have oil central heating and wondering whether to change to a wood boiler or an oil/wood boiler, has anyone done this? If we change from oil to wood can we use the same chimney and water pipes? Also I have googled to try and find an oil/wood boiler but couldn't find any manufacturers. I would be grateful for any advice. Thanks.
Me0wp00
we bought an oil/wood boiler from ebay, have to say its about 20 years old but has had a new bruler and doesn't look too bad, also switches from wood to oil if there isn't sufficient wood. Leyroy merlin and most of the diy chains do sell wood/oil boilers but you might have to ask them.
Steph1
Hi Me0wp00Thanks for your reply. I have been on the Leroy Merlin website and they only have one wood boiler which is very expensive. Could you please tell me the make of your boiler? Thanks. Steph1

shimble
i am awaiting some info about installing a different burner and other bits in an existing boiler to accept wood pellets i believe the cost is about 2500 euro but this will allow all existing instalations to remain and pellets are cheaper and cleaner
