Juswundrin
HiCould anyone tell me whether there is a fixed, or minimum, height from floor level for new electrical sockets? We're having some new ones put in the living room, and wondered whether we'll be able to specify the height of them or not? Thanks
gosub
We have a new build property and have the majority of the sockets about 30cm from the floor but for kitchen bathrooms and utility room they are about 1m high, so I would guess that for sockets in the living room, you can choose to put them where you want. Phil & Pat
Outlets up to 20A need to be a minimum of 50mm from the floor, 120mm for outlets over 20A.
