Nicos
I'm trying to clean up a sandstone fire harth which has had candle wax splashed onto it . I've removed the surface wax, but it seems to have gone in deeper with the heat from the fire. It's also very dirty. If it were cloth, I'd iron it with brown paper to soak it up- what on earth do I do with sandstone????
PeterG
The only thing I can think of is using kitchen roll and a hot iron. Kitchen roll may be more absorbent than brown paper. Sandstone is porous so you may not be able to remove it all. Once you have it looking better I would advise sealing the surface with stone sealer. Nicos
Hmmm...I have a jar of stone sealer sat sitting ( unopened) on the shelf , bought 8 years ago when the harth was installed![Www][:-))]Will try the kitchen roll- thanks.
