bigears
Himy old cooker hood was wired direct into the 20 amp supply to the old dual fuel cooker. My new cooker is sorted with both gas and electric supply. I've just unpacked the new cooker hood (baumatic) bought in the uk. The wiring instructions for the uk say its got to have a 3 amp fuse. Can I buy a french electrical component that is switched and has a 3 amp fuse? Failing that should I just connect it via a french plug and socket into the cooker supply (same 20 amp fuse) as the old one was. .
Nick Trollope
You can connect it however you want. However, the regs say that it must have a seperate feed (with a 2A breaker) from the fusebox.I've never seen a fused spur here.
