Alpilles
We have an old house in Provence which we have gradually been refurbishing. We inherited the current wiring with the house, and part of the house had been rewired when we bought it. We have an old boarded loft and wiring has been, for easy access to sockets and lights, inserted through holes in timber studwork, walls and into the loft and joined into junction boxes on our boarded loft space. It all looks tidy but my question is, does the already sheathed cable have to be in a flexible trunking (la gaine souple)? Thanks in advance for your advice. La Guerriere
To the best of my knowledge cable is OK if it is accessible and inspectable. If it is not it has to be in gaine. Eevn if cable is accessible it needs to be protected with gaine locally if it goes through walls etc
