Crevette
Anyone out there in an apartment? How much do people pay monthly for electricity?Heating is by electric but all the same, my bill has grown from 70 euros to 110 euros and I find this to be quite a lot! I was wondering if other people find this excessive or not!-Rob-
cooperlola
I live in a detached house and that bill's nearly as much as ours! It does sound steep.

No more surprises...!
Crevette
Thanks for the replies - I think I may invest in one of those "plug meters" to see what is gobbling up the electricity. Regards,-Rob-
samdebretagne
We live in a 55 sq m apartment and pay the same amount as you do. We do our washing on Sundays, only turn the heat & lights on when we absolutely have to, etc - I've never been able to figure out why on Earth it is that expensive! Mikew
Try one of these: http://www.electrisave.co.uk/You can sit in comfort and watch your electricity consumption. Makes one realise how much juice some appliances use!
Crevette
I like the "electrisave" product. I take it it works with the French meters?-Rob-
Nick Trollope
It should do (on a single phase supply). However, modern French meters have this facility built-in (albeit without the remote display). And they are "temporarily out-of-stock".
