on the bill theres payment a slip to tear of and sign and date, but do i have to fill out the t.i.p numbers in the top right corner,i  cannot remember if i filled this out or not last time

The TIP numbers get filled in automatically for your next payment if you send a RIB (usually found inside your chq book) with this payment.

It will save you having to write a chq next time round. Instead, you'll simply sign and date the TIP form and send it to authorise a debit from your bank account.

For now either send a chq or a chq + RIB.
