mint
If my poor aging memory serves me right, Clair posted a link recently about some allowance or other for the installation of insulation in your house. Can't find the thread and, rather than PMing Clair, I thought I'd post so that others might also benefit.Wasn't there mention of something like 25% of costs of installation refunded? Or did I dream all this up?

mint
Next question, Clair. You know that there's always a "next question" from me, don't you?How do you claim? Are there special forms, or a special place in the tax return form? What proof do you have to provide and who can you get to do the work in order to qualify? Clair
You claim on your tax form for work carried out and invoiced the preceding year.If completing on-line, you don't need to supply any proof (invoices), but you may be asked to provide them later. If completing on paper, you should enclose copies of the invoices with your tax form. The materials must comply with the minimum requirements. The work has be be carried out by a registered artisan/company. In most instances, both the cost of the materials and the fitting should be on the invoice (the new tax credit for wall/roof insulation is for the installation cost only).
