Could someone tell me who I need to inform about updating my Tax fonciere  situation.

I have just taken possession of our newbuild in dept 24 and paid TF last year for the land we own , we have just had this years TF bill again just for the land, but I think I need to inform the powers that be , that there is now a house and pool on the land. Who do I inform?

You should inform your local Centre des Impots.  They will give you a form to fill in, detailing square meterage etc, so be prepared.

If you have only recently taken possesion of the house, then you only pay this years Taxe fonciere for the land. You should have filled in an H1 form to say the build has been completed within 90 days of completion, if you have done this then you should get the next 2 years free of Taxe Fonciere.
