BJSLIV
I assume that you are buying a plot on a small lotissement (estate) being offered by the the council.Three weeks is nothing in France. If your purchase is being handled by an agent, what do they say?If you applied in writing, as long as you did it the French way, by registered letter, then you should hear in due course. Anton Redman
Suggest you buy Construire ou Renover sa Maison" - Published by Editions Denoel - ISBN 2-207-2562-0. Available from the book section of the Hypermarkets and on line from Amazon.FR. It is full of illustrations and a good start point even if you strugle with French. 'Le Guide' is available once a year free from Leroy Merlin for free and covers much of the same ground. 'Faire Construire sa Maison' is a monthly French Magazine which also had adverts for books on the subject and over about six issues gives a basic guide to the process in France. It is more heavily aimed at 'Turnkey' houses from builders than equivalent UK mag but is worth getting Note the Guide from LM is available to have a browse on line http://www.leroymerlin.fr/big/guide-2007/gg2007-580-construire-renover/html/gd-580-07.htm
