Alex H
The fosse in our 'house within a barn' was installed in 1990 and is burried within the concrete barn floor. There is a small concrete hatch, which when lifted reveals yet more concrete and no visible way of examining the fosse[8-)]So, who would be the best person to ask how to get access (for emptying more than anything else [:D]) - the original builder (the company still exists), a fosse emptying company, a fosse installer, SPANC, the mairie? Thebiga
Are you sure this is your only fosse as it sounds more like that ones been filled up with concrete and you have another somewhere else.

Le Plombier
You may well have a cover over a coverCheck the concrete surface of the fosse under the cover carefully and you may find a join line where the fosse cover sitsIf your fosse is still active why would there be a cover with no access belowLe Plombier
