CeeJay
I would like to fit an extractable cooker hood over the hob taking the smells etc via ducting up to the ceiling and venting to an outside wall, even though they are made of large pierres. However I am not sure what the regs. are in France for the wiring. Presumably they can be wired straight from a supply and the hood itself controls the on/off etc. Is there a need to have a connection unit externally or can everything be placed inside the chimney bit? Nick Trollope
It should have its own feed from the tableau, protected by a 2A breaker. If the hood will accept the cable directly, then that is fine. No external switch necessary.
CeeJay
Thanks for that Nick, presumably if only a 2amp dis. is required I can wire in 1mm cable?
Nick Trollope
Yes, if you have it, otherwise use 1,50mm.
