French Frank Posted April 18, 2009 Share Posted April 18, 2009 Hi,Can someone please advise me on the regulations with woodburning fires.Up to what output can I go without installing a vent.I intend to take the flue through the wall but do i have to then go up above roof level/Would be grateful if someone could offer advice on these and any other issues. Théière Posted April 26, 2009 Share Posted April 26, 2009 Normally above the roof level to ensure the smoke and gasses do not re enter the building via an open window or door. It is still possible for the gasses to enter a window or door way from the roof height so a professional would carry out a test and look at the most common prevailing wind direction.
