nemltd
Waiting for a quotation for the tiling of 2 bathrooms, toilet and a bathroom. How does a tiler price a job? Is it per square meter, or does he/she look at the tiles, big, small, square or rectangular?Any advice gratefully received.
WJT
Hi, I have found that in general they do tend to price per metre. However, I think it will depend on the tiler and region. The devis we received varied because of the products needed to tile on upstairs wooden floorboards. However, if it is a straight forward tiling job, I would imagine a price per meter would be the norm. They would show the metre price based on your specific tiles and products such as the glue and grout used.I would recommend showing or discussing what your tiles are before they give you a price. I have just recently had a bodge job from a tiler and have just chosen a new one to finish the job in the other bathroom.[:(]
