tonyv
Does anyone know whether dedicated shaver sockets (i.e. those containing an isolating transformer, and which accept shaver plugs with fat pins) are available in France? Never seen them in the brico sheds.
Anton Redman
They are available but from specialists. Sometimes find them in older French hotelshttp://www.completefrance.com/cs/forums/551528/ShowPost.aspx
Nick Trollope
Legrand do a couple - 671 59 for a start. Any decent electrical outlet should be able to get you one.
Hereford
We just bought light fittings to go over the wash basin that incorporate a shaver point, you have to look for them but they do exist!H.
La Guerriere
I gave up on this one and just put in UK ones. Yes, I know that they don't have NF on them, and that if the house burns down the insurance won't pay out, and the CRS will come and beat me with big sticks but buggerit I still think they are the safe option. tonyv
Thanks, all.I'll get myself over to my local electrical wholesaler and ask for a "prise rasoir". Don't feally fancy the idea of nicking one from a hotel.
