Théière
Problem is obtaining the blank to cut except in France obviously. Is it a multikey, yale style but with side indentations?
Locheelad
You are right - getting the blank is the problem. The front door key bought in Mr Bricolage is like a yale but has identations both sides. The much smaller key for the roller door ( which pulls over the front door ) is the same. My builder guy needs in - i'll just chance sending him the keys by recorded and pray the dont get lost. He can copy them i hope.
Théière
Yep, trying to get a multi key cut is hard enough but a french one ........Luckily I have a multikey cutter not too far away http://www.multikeysecurity.co.uk/Might be worth you googling and see if there is one in Scotland they are rare. BIG MAC
Why not go on French e-bay and buy a blank posted to Scotland and get your local guy to cut it?
Théière
I refer the honorable gentleman to the answer I gave earlier.[Www]It's a multi key and the machines are few and far between.
BIG MAC
I would point out that you don't need to have a profiling machine if you are a proper locksmith as you will take moulds from the existing key and machine the blank until it matches, hardly rocket science.......... Théière
Try copying the the side pins on a multi, get it wrong and it locks up the plug and can jam the key in the lock.
BIG MAC
Good idea not to get it wrong which is why a locksmith was recommended
