mickthe bike
Does anyone know where it might be possible to obtain either 14 to 15mm or 15 to 16mm adaptors so that French and UK plumbing fittings may be used together?.
Théière
The French don't need them, the English don't need them so you'll probably have to make them yourself by annealing the copper and flaring it old style.
tonyv
The easiest (and expensive) solution is a UK 15mm to 1/2 inch BSP fitting onto a French 1/2 inch BSP to 16 mm fitting.
Alan Zoff
Don't know if plastic is an option for you - or whether they can supply what you might need - but I have just found these people to be incredibly helpful with JG Speedfit adaptors for connecting to plastic tubing:https://www.vyair.com/
Simon
I have used a 15-22mm converter to a 22-16mm converter in the past.regardsSimon

How will a 15mm OD pipe fit in that? Or have I missed something? [:)]
Anton Redman
If it is coiled it is soft enough to hammer a drift in to open it up enough to take the 15mm pipe. If was purchased straight heat and hammer.
thunderhorse
Ah, the old annealing ploy! Thanks for the info.I'd like to see a plumber practicing his craft in that fashion.
Anton Redman
I have the French National Plumbing Museum in my Boiler Room. I was ashamed when I cut in a piece of PER so I could put a window in an outside wall. However when I count the number of curves and joints I find that impresive though it looks it has thrice the number of joints and curves that it need to do the job. Since I sourced. from Germany three sets of bowls for central heating oil pump filters I am now on good terms the real plumber who installed the central heating in our house for the previous owner. € 4 on the internet € 45 at Brossete
