Gravity resistant Faïence

I have two bathrooms in loft apartments where the roof slopes down over the bath/shower, I want to tile around the bath and also need to do this sloping ceiling or it is going to become mouldy.

Can it be done? Are there any special tips? What tile cement to use etc?

I will be back in the UK soon if it needs to be a product from there.

Well our upstairs bathroom is as in your description, ie the whole room forms a triangle. The sloping part starts at 60 cm from the floor and goes up and over the bath til it joins up with the (corridor) wall. And we have tiles 20 cm x 25 cm on both sides of the large velux which provides the light and enough of a cut-out in the sloping wall to give people taller than me some headroom.

On the other hand I have absolutely no idea what was used to put the tiles up there. it must have been good as the house is 14 years old and the tiles date from then. We have had no problems of anything dropping off the walls - yet.

I'd take a photo or two but the camera batteries are not charged at the mo.

It sounds exactly the same Sue, right down to opening the Velux for tall people!

I would like to see a photo if you are able, you never know I may have missed something or may take some inspiration.

Do you think that your tiles are onto plasterboard or tile backer board?

Hopefully no problem there; will put the camera batteries on charge straight away.

Absolutely no idea - don't think our landlord/landlady will know either or I'd ask!
